‘Friends of Kingsclere School'(PTA) is a charity that seeks to raise vital funds for Kingsclere CE Primary School. The committee, made up of parent/carer and staff volunteers, aim to create events and fundraise to provide the school with crucial resources that will benefit the children across all aspects of their school life.
We aim to support the school with the development of educational resources such as laptops, iPads, books and interactive whiteboards. The funding also supports school trips and outside opportunities that enrich the children’s learning experiences. Working hard to come up with events and fund-raising ideas is vital in continuing to provide the school with this funding.
Previous events have included the amazing Kingsclere Fireworks, film nights, summer and Christmas fairs and an annual ‘Camp Out’ on the school site. The events are designed to give the school and village community something to look forward to, whilst making a profit to give back to the school.
The committee relies on volunteers both in terms of organisational matters and in the running of events. We have great fun when planning and delivering our events. It then is wonderful to see where the money has a positive impact on the children at the school. We are always keen to welcome new committee members to help plan and run the committee and require the school Community to help at the events. Please do get involved; any help and time you can offer is greatly appreciated by the committee and school.
