At Kingsclere CE Primary School, we believe it is important for our children to be able to share their thoughts and ideas to help develop our school and their own experiences here. We build in opportunities within the learning day to develop British Values of ‘Democracy, Respect, Tolerance, Individual Liberty & Rule of Law.’ We believe this helps to shape pupils into confident, caring individuals who will be able to make a positive impact on the world and their own futures.
Our Eco-Committee are developing their aims and principles with a view to improve our school and its impact on the environment around us. Their latest campaign is to ensure lights and other electrical devices in school are turned off when not in use and they will be monitoring the impact of this by reading raw data from our newly installed Solar Panels.
Our School Council meet regularly each half term to discuss current issues & raise awareness of school developments with the wider pupil community. Their recent focus’ has been to introduce lunchtime game and quiet zones, select equipment and resources for playtimes, develop our school partnership with Kyankowe in Uganda and review our anti-bullying school policy.
